Just playing around with the numbers using a 3.73 gear and 27 inch tires:

65 mph = @3000 rpm
70 mph = @3250 rpm
75 mph = @3500 rpm

This seem like decent rpm numbers to me, what are you looking for?

With a 3.54 gear you are only going to see around a 150 to 200 rpm difference. You would be much further ahead with an overdrive transmission.
