Smile Re: Brake switch 1936 Ford truck..

I do not believe there is a spring involved. The brake light switch is a spring loaded pin type of switch that is mounted on the frame mount of the brake/clutch assembly. There are 2 holes about 1-1/4"" apart where the switch is mounted. This is from a car-P.U. assembly. It is possible a BIG truck is different. Hope this helps. Kerk P.S. Joes Antique Parts shows it as Part Number--48-13480 @ about $15.00 each - old catalog . Call him @1-800-508-3980
