Is it a "Regular" (carbs biased to the back) or "Super" (one carb over each group of intake ports) dual manifold? You might be able to get by with progressive linkage and different carbs on a "Regular", but not on a "Super". V8 Bob is giving you good advice. You're probably gong to have to start over, with at least rebuilt carbs and the proper linkage.
