Regarding the raising of the tank, you have only about 1/8-3/16" space above it, when the body is mounted and the tank is in the stock position. This is to provide room for the rear frame horn covers which have a grommet installed in them to prevent rubbing between the body and any other metal parts.The repo tanks have the additional "gallonage" at the bottom of the tank, the top being stock.
