The cable that you have pictured from macs looks as though it is the right one. Each end of the cable should have a clevis threaded onto each end of the cable. After you install the cable on your 39, each clevis can be adjusted to help you achieve the correct length. The bracket that you have picture here secures the cable to the frame cross member . The cable from the rear backing plates loops thru the bracket you have pictured and is secured to the clevis with a clevis pin and cotter pin and the front of the cable also secures to the hand brake lever with a clevis with a clevis pin and cotter pin. Good looking 39 coupe!
