Regarding that "Motorcraft" tag, you have to remember that Ford began to use the Motorcraft name in 1972 after anti-trust laws forced Ford to sell the Autolite name. Someone had a boxfull of those tags and used 'em to note "early" part numbers. Just like the early, red Ford script tags ya see on parts......doesn't mean that was the tag that
originally came on the part at time of manufacture. Also, an old trick used by SOME parts vendors to suggest to noobs that used stuff
could be NOS. DD
