Is that long screw that is in the condenser locating hole touching the points screw? It looks very close in the pic. They may have advanced it to stop the screw touching the hot side of the points. It should be a lot shorter than that. The points gap looks very wide in the pic. Should be around .015". Plugs should be around .025".

(Just looked again and I can see you were holding the points open with a screwdriver or something.)
