Of the three year run of that body style, I like the '53 the best over all. Not to mention that the '53 is the '50th Anniversary of Ford Motor Company, and the last production year for the Flathead V8 in U.S. built Ford & Mercury cars & trucks. Also the last year for king pins in the Ford and Mercury Cars, I'm not sure when Lincoln went with ball joints but Lincoln discontinued the 337 Flathead after '51. When I was 5 years old, my dad traded a '49 Merc Convertible in, on a new '53 Ford Mainline ForDor Sedan with an OHV I-6... I'm still not happy about that... LOL
