I remember "collecting" enough on the paper route every Saturday morning until I had enough to pay the "bill" at 5:00 that evening. The un-collecteds were profit, left to be collected as something I needed came-up during the week. Bought my first old Ford ('39 DeLuxe) for $65 with newspaper money. DD
