Tony, Not positive regarding the '35, but likely it is similar to my '38. I find it much easier to remove the front motor mounts and lift the engine at the front with a block of wood on your jack. This will allow the removal/installation of the hoses to occur almost automatically with the movement of the engine. The side benefit of course, is the replacement of the old motor mount rubber. When doing this method, be aware of features at the rear of the engine and their proximity to the firewall.
