I just hooked up the BrakeLighter to my current system without any other changes and it seems to be working fine.

If you do install turn signals I would recommend including a BrakeLighter, it is a high mount 3rd BrakeLighter and adds greatly to visibility. Those old tail lights can be pretty dim against those...
