Never use a rubber ball. You are just fooling yourself. Cut the old ball off and weld on a new one, and use the steel cups and springs, Joy all around.

Rear axle nut torque setting.

What is the required rear axle nut torque setting? There must be a torque setting these days. Usually I just go good and tight, but would like to adjust properly and have both rear nuts the same.

As pictured. Front floor mat is a second hand repro showing very little wear. A new mat is also available at extra cost. Mat shows original spatter pattern.
