Re: Spark Advance Level problem

Where do lubricate the spark advance lever? I don’t see the spark lever as a required lubrication point and there doesn’t appear to be an obvious place to lubricate.

Spark Advance Level problem

My spark advance lever has always been rather stiff to operate but now it hardly will move at all. Has anyone had this problem and does the steering column need to come out to fix it?

Turn signals and BrakeLighter

I installed a low profile third light that sits at the bottom of the back window about a year ago. I wired it so it would blink right or left for turn signals and also act as a brake light. It worked...

Re: Cup holder

I added some mahogany to match the dash to the metal cup holders you can buy through several of the suppliers. The wood might make it a little more friendly to bumping into as the metal is quite...

Rubber Mat Fasteners

Attached is a photo of one of the four “studs” above the slanted floorboard on my 1930 Coupe. It’s painted green, is in the center of the photo, protrudes about 3/16” and is about 5/16” in diameter. ...

Re: Starter Bendix bolt broken

To followup on getting the bolt and washer out of the flywheel housing I bought a tool with a flexible spring, internal, retractable grab hook with a magnet on the end. It was $11 at the local auto...

Re: Starter Bendix bolt broken

Thanks for all the good advice. Although it would probably be OK left in, I'll feel better if I get it out.

Starter Bendix bolt broken

My starter wouldn't engage so I pulled it and found the outer bolt that holds the spring apparently broke off and the bolt and washer must be at the bottom of the flywheel housing.

Replacing the...

Re: Fuel Adjustment

Thanks all for the correct direction to turn the fuel adjustment knob. It makes complete sense to turn CW to close and CCW to open.
Mine is fairly stiff to turn so may try the dielectric grease.
