'32 AAB bumper brackets needed

Howdy boys, looks like I'm going to need the two bumper brackets that attach to the frame on this AAB I'm working on. The ones I have are apparently for a later truck. The bumper is the same, but...

Re: '32 AAB bumper mounts

Looks like the center bar and the frame brackets I have are not the correct ones. Newc has the right center bar, but I need the two frame brackets also. Might have to heat and bend the ones I have....

Re: '32 AAB bumper mounts

Thanks DavidG, that's the conclusion Chris and I came to. I got these from a fellow in Silverton, pretty close to where Newc's place is. So, I'll have to make a phone call. Damn.......

'32 AAB bumper mounts

Howdy boys, I attempted to mount the bumper on the '32 AAB I've been working on, but it appears I have the wrong mounts/bumper. I compared them to Sugarmakers '32 dump truck and they are slightly...

48 F1 grill bars

Howdy boys, I've been trying to figure out why my grill bars are stainless, but everything I've read about the early F1's is they were painted silver, with a red stripe. I know there is an expert...

Re: '32 BB cab mounting bolts

Hey David G, this truck, which is an AAB does have the coil springs on the rear cab bolts. They are 7/16", about 3.5" long. Sugarmaker sent me some pictures of his, which is also an AAB. Thanks.

Re: '32 AAB progress report

Thanks guys, the 'ol heifer was in pretty sad shape. It was last driven in the '60's, then used as a trap wagon (notice the hitch on the front) for several years. It was WAY overloaded with a fuel...

Here's a video of the frame running for the first time since 1968. Well, maybe not. "Invalid video".

'32 AAB progress report

Howdy boys! Figured it was time I made a progress report on the '32 AAB I've been working on. I put the cab on the frame Sunday, and thanks to Newc and Sugarmaker, I've got it tied down. I've had...

Re: '32 BB cab mounting bolts

totto, so now I'm curious. There was only one bolt on the tank that had a spring. The other two did not. Are they all supposed to have a coil spring? Thanks.

Re: '32 BB cab mounting bolts

Cool 33, so how do they mount? They are 7/16 bolts, but the holes are 3/8. Pictures would tell the story. Thanks.

Re: '32 BB cab mounting bolts

They are too long for the tank. There was only one bolt on the tank with a coil spring, 3/8" if I remember correctly. The ones I have, that I believe came off of the cab, since they were in the can...

Early '48 239 water pumps

Howdy boys, I'm hoping someone out there has a rebuild kit for the early 239 water pumps. And if not, would the later rebuild kit work for the older ones? All I can find are the newer pump kits. ...

Re: '48 F1 questions

OK, thanks rotor. Did the engine get painted when completed, or were parts painted individually so the gaskets would be painted also?

Thank you sir!
