You had a difficult one there Dfram The Model A i did
I bolted and welded two 5/8 unf nuts together with a bolt a 3rd way down as a strike nut
layed it over a RSJ/Girder heated up the...

Something to try ,remove # one spark plug and distributor cap mark opposite no one terminal on the distributor body ,with thumb over the spark plug hole roll the starter when it comes up to # one...

Check the Valve timing ,? remove the manifold to sight the valves at same time check the gasket ,use the Zip tie method or a wire to find TDC ,does it smooth out with the Choke out as 51 Merc...

This is a 37 right hand box cut and drilled ,you can have two holes rather than cut it ,shape the cut with a grinder ,this one is yet to be grond up ,,We did a left hand one for a 36 three window ...

Maybe also leak at manifold gasket or leak into power valve ,wrong manifold ,

You can use a length of ply cut to the frame profile and draw around it as a template compare that to a known good frame ,Ted

21 stud with flat top pistons ,I run a dome type head on one side with a flat top on the other side like the top picture .I did a rough comparison cc with saw dust it didn't seem to be any...

I have used the 32 Phil method more than once , the bulge in the frame can be caused by a rear impact to , We cant see that well but it looks like they have reversed into something and damaged the...

Put it on axle stands mounted on the frame , on a flat floor then get someone to supple equivalent measurements rails to the ground of there car , measure the body from body mount bolts etc...

Sorry ,The timing I gave is incorrect , its one three two four as Pete's Diagram clock wise ,from 10-30 number one .a 37 terminal cab in a 34 3 bolt gives a mis read .

the left pipe from the M/C is shorter on the left ,farther to travel on the right ,measure your pedal ,if it pumps up you have air in the right side giving a weak brake .

I wouldn't think the springs would be it ,Has the anty seize melted and got on the shoes,.Swap the shoes left to right see if theirs a change .

With this type of brake make sure the shoe retraces and sits on the anchor bolt with no gap ,
Part# 2027 some Anchor bolts are a cam arrangement so you rotate it and it brings the shoe closer...
