Well I met an old timer that used to race A's. And he told me that the spider gears can be welded together but I thought they hadto be free moving.

Well I'm going to throw a wrench in here somewhere. Is it theoretically possible to convert a Model-A rear axle to a posi type rear axle?

The 3.54 is a keeper. You can get a better highway speed. I not a 100% but the lasalle gears give a better 1st gear & the 3.54s with a taller tire gives better highway. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for the info. I was always told that Model-A steering was alwasy on the uneasy side because the steering doesn't come back to center on it's own.

Sorry, no, there is a company that sells Brand new made in America steering column with F100 type parts

I have a few of these & never rebuilt one. So the ring actually needs to be wide not compressed in order for the bushing to come out?

Well I guess that depends on the original glass. I thought it was the or. because of the ripple in the glass. but there is no yellowing or bubles.

I have a standard 1929 Phaeton with origional windshield & mine had only one manual wiper over the driver side of the wind...

I have a 1929 Phaeton & mine are steel. So I wonder if mine have been replaced then?
