Smile Re: Anyone received their GAV Deep Socket

I received mine. It's well made and will be a critical tool in my "A" tool collection. I have no reason to believe that if you've put your name on the "I'm interested" list that you'll have one....

Re: carburetor 13/32 deep well socket

Hi Gang, I took the photos above that Haag1332 has posted. The socket is well made, fits nice and tight to the brass nut of the GAV, and I've ordered one. I have 3 A's, owned one since 1978ish, was a...

Re: carburetor 13/32 deep well socket

Am trying again to get photos of Bill's socket posted. Uploading is a no-brainer, system simply isn't working right now, 3 fails, tried 5 pix all at once, then only 1. Will keep trying, have...

Re: Woo hoo 65mph

Kevin I take a little respectful issue with your jump from Ford designed the A to run at 60 and so therefore it's safe to do so. Ford adverstised around a lot of selling points and 55-60 mph was a...

Re: Roadster pickup as found and done

I love these re-birthings! When you see a relic like you did you really have to see the diamond in the rough and you sure did! Nice.

PS(the story was in The Restorer in 2007 or early 2008 and the car is named Henrietta, not Henriett, I can't type sometimes.)

Re: original or reproduction hood latch??

Tom, ever see an ORIGINAL hook shaft end with a solid washer-like, nail head-like, cap on it? Privately, when I purchased a set of four of these, I'm being told that they're late '31 latches and I...

Hopefully the two photos will post. I believe that the hood latch shown in the photo is an old reproduction, but want to be sure I'm correct.

Re: Engine/Frame numbers .. possible stamping goof or ...?

With the two numerals on my engine and frame transposed, 57 and 75, I'm thinking that the guy who stamped the frame goofed so the two numbers don't reflect an engine that was not original to the car...
