There is an epoxy filler called PC Woody. It work fairly well. The above mentioned fixes are probably better for what you are doing.

Your lucky Indiana only requires one plate. Kalifornia requires two plates, much harder to come by.

No need to freeze. They will trim nicely with your dremel or a bench grinder. Use a lube like soapy water or silicon. Some say WD 40 but I think it might rot the rubber.

I bought a set of Bill Stipe shocks about a year ago. He might still have some in stock. You can't go wrong with them. Expensive? You get what you pay for. Hey,its just money.

Mine works great here in N. CA. On a cool day,40-50 you need a window open if the heater door is full open. If you live where it gets cold, well, I don't know.

I found that a propane torch is not sufficient. You need oxygen/acetylene. The backing plate acts like a big heat sink. Also if your holes are the proper size you cannot heat the rivet then insert it...
