Thanks for the info so far I have used hot water and a shammy and I have removed 80 per sent looks a lot better jack.

hi guys I washed the 49 with well water and I can't remove the water spots I tried distilled water and mothers detailer no luck. need help. jack.

bought a set of skirts for the 49, there is a large end and a small end on the skirts witch end goes to the front? jack.

felt seal 94 carb.
the felt seal on the acc. pump shaft follows the shaft what holds it in place? jack.

Hi Tubman, yes I'm interested I now have a 49 merc. intake the 2g carb. fits the linkage is on the wrong side also I would like to keep the oil bath filter look? . looks like a winter project .thanks...

chev. 2gc 283 carb.
I have a chance to buy a rebuilt 2gC carb. for 50.00 the 49 ford is working real good would the 2gc carb. work any better ? jack

When I moved the car there was a line of drips across the garage floor, and there is a very small puddle under the car. After a few minutes the dripping stops. The engine was rebuilt 12 years ago...

oil leaking from rear of oil pan
just out of storage and oil dripping from back of engine. Can the pan come of while in the 49 and can the seals be replaced ? thanks for any info. jack.
