Thanks, great info. I dont seem to have a snap ring!! This is how it is as pulled off the axle. Do you think maybe the seal wasnt pushed in far enough?

Rear Hub Seal/Leak 3!
so I have a leak coming out of the left rear hub, Checked diff oil level and about half a cup of oil came out. So it was overfilled! Anyway took hub off and bearing full of oil and oil all over brake...

Rear Hub Seal.
Can the rear hub seal be replaced with just basic tools? Or do you need specific tools to do this? I have a leak coming down the outside of the backing plate which I dont believe is brake fluid. But...

Oil Leak
what do the team think the problem is here? It looks like a shadow on the backing plate but is a thin film of oil. you can see the drip at the bottom.. OOPS. LOOKS LIKE I LOST THE PICS!!!
