Rehashing an old thread because I'm working on these carbs right now. Installed a 3x2 setup using the 9super7 carbs. Car ran fine no problems. Gave it back to the customer and after about 60 miles it...

I just replaced my fiber gear with another fiber this spring. I only used the fiber because I had one. If I had to order one I would have used aluminum.

Im sure the judging standards guys will tell you exactly whats what, but from my practical knowledge it could be an early 31. You cant just switch out the dash and speedos between the oval and round....

Also the fiber is much quieter. The metal gears in 1929 were not quiet like the ones today. Plus remember your Ford if well taken care of would last you at least 5 years.

I cant remember where but I read Ford actually never drilled out the shaft bushings in the B distributors. Every one Ive pulled apart was not drilled.
