Hi,
I think this plastic box is a bit pricey. I have my Optima battery plugged into an own-made aluminum box. See photo.
The idea of such a package is good for those who like the original look....

Re: Use oil additives or not?

Hi, i use only SAE 30 non-detergend oil (Motorex SAE30, for Prewar-Cars). I think, additives are mainly for the purse of the manufacturer.

Re: rebuilt shocks

I recommend rebuilt originals. Parts are available from various vendors.
Otherwise, you can also buy new. But the shocks that are not adjustable I do not like that. (A-18016-B)

Hi, i recommend rebuilt Originals. They work great and I think it's definitely better than driving without or with the cheap imitations.

Until now, I thought you can not deface a Model A. A little bit disgusting. But when somebody like that, it's ok.

Re: modern shock conversion 29 tudor A

I see it that way. Drill a hole in the axle, I would not. The modern shock kit A18014 from Snyders has a clamp. Does not require drilling the axle. Is the better way I think.
Greetings Barney...
