Oil Pump Spring

Have you ever seen an oil pump spring attatched to the oil pan instead of the pump? Seen one today. The spring seemed shorter than the ones I have seen attached to the pump.

Re: New Battery

I have a 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis with 46,000 miles on the clock. It has a Interstate battery in it that has been in it since 2000. That is 18 years!

Re: I am hi I got a live this Siri

My A stays in a heated garage. We get 200+ inches of snow here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and they use lots of salt on the roads.

I would re-torque the head just to satisfy yourself. There are no oil passages in the head that would leak into the coolant.

Re: reconditioning an old battery

The battery in my 1988 Grand Marquis was installed in June of 2000. It still works great after 17 plus years. It is an Interstate.

Re: Quick question from new member

You have to remove the upholstery around the window. They are tacked to the wood around the opening.
