Re: Spark arrestor

The spark arrestor in my '29 Coupe was stuck tight. Would not budge even with proper tool nor with brute force! Put some Kroil around the rim a few times and let it soak some. Screwed right out!...

Re: Tricks to locate TDC

Bratton's sells an "Easy Timing Pin Key Ring" . Part #7891, on page 2 of 2014 parts catalog. $4.25.

Re: Diagnostic Help Needed

Thanks for your replies. Just for fun, and to highlight the flexibility of the English language, the "tap, tap, tap" noise occurs both at rest when revving up and at speed when tootling along....

Re: Diagnostic Help Needed

Thanks for your responses. I don't think I have a timing gear tooth/teeth problem. Car timed up really well and engine runs well.

I did check and clean the plugs. When I took them out they had a...

I purchased the restored car 2 years ago. From the outset the car didn't stop well. At slow speed I can lock the brakes. At 40-45 or going downhill they don't grab well at all.

I owned a Model A...
