I dont have the chassis in front of me to measure the torque tube but i sorta remember 51" but to determine that is to mount the motor to the measurement in the book then the transmission crossmember...

I was thinking you were using a stock frame. With your set up i wouldn't bother with the stock 41 radiator mounts for the 6. Better off making something to fit.

If they are 40 passanger car fenders, all you need is a pair of pliers to make them fit the cowl and cut off the 42 to 47 front fender bracket thats spot welded to the edge of the firewall and drill...
