If the breaker side isn't well grounded then there is nothing to break. If a condenser won't hold a charge then the ignition wont work well at all. A leaky condenser will give intermittent problems...

The better a person knows their old vehicle the better they learn to troubleshoot it. ALWAYS check the easy things to do first. A condenser is a good first call but, as was mentioned, the vulnerable...
