The Spindle Bolt Locking Pin: A-3122

There were three types of Spindle Bolt Locking Pins.

Two types were round in shape when assembled to the front axle to lock the King Pin into place which also had a 1/2 round cut into it to accept...

There are no known records for the 28-29 to mid 1930 bodies.

The hotter the day the better for streaching the top material.

If you have original raingutters and front and back moulding, it can be taken off by very carefully prying off...

There is material that one can spray on, brush on, or paste panels on all interior metal areas before...

Front end measurements

Does anyone have a restored front end that can get some measurements for me?

My concern is the attached Tie Rod going from left to right while conected to the Spindle arms.

According to the MARC/MAFCA Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards, page 1-18 Revised 2016, they are UNFINISHED all years.

But plain UNFINISHED bolts, nuts and lock washers will rust in...

So I went to the Cartouche website to see just what the material sold for today.

In 1980 it was $14.00 per yard...Today, that same material is $44.95 per yard.

Had a similar problem with my 1929 Standard Coupe where the cut-out and the generator both burned up. Repaired the generator and put a diode within the original cutout body. Been going strong now...
