Re: 1934 sedan. Pulling out the gas tank

If you are pulling out the original tank to clean it and install a non original fuel sender why not buy a new tank that would be set up for the later sender? I seriously doubt that a modern sender...

Re: The new 1940 Ford Book is now available

The V-8 Club does have a book that covers the '38-'39 cars. You can purchase it on the V-8 Club website. www.earlyfordv8.org.

Re: 1932 ford pickup GVWR.

See BobC's post. No need for GVW when 36 and older. Your DMV person should know that as in the vehicle code. Although I should not make assumptions on what Cal DMV knows or should know.

Just got mine today and have briefly skimmed through it. Lots of great information for '40 lovers. Kube did a great job.

Re: which comes first...the windshield or the rubber seal

I think if you had titled your post with the words "1932 Cabriolet windshield seal" he probably would have noticed it right away.

Re: which comes first...the windshield or the rubber seal

The cabriolet takes a special seal and as I recall it installs in four pieces. I would put the frame in the car and have it loose and then tuck the seal between the frame and the body. As I recall...

Re: Grand Cherokee rear to 1935

With the leaf springs you may have to move the axle pads. With coil overs I have found that they are difficult to find the correct spring rates to make the car ride correctly whether it is loaded...

Re: Speedometer for 36 to S 10 tail shaft transmission?

The stock speedo cable should work if long enough. I have used the stock cable with a turbo 350 automatic and it worked just fine. The end that goes on the stock "turtle" should also go right on the...

Re: Grand Cherokee rear to 1935

Use a parallel leaf spring kit from Chassis Engineering, TCI, or Speedway. I would not use anything with coil over shocks. The leaf spring kits are a "bolt-in"
kit and easy to install.

The rubber lined grommets for the shift arms can be purchased as a kit from most of the V-8 parts vendors.

Re: 46 Ford inside door opener spring

That spring should be available from your favorite V-8 vendor. It can be a little tricky to change.

Re: Anyone Repro This Part?

The big 32-34 trucks did in fact use them. I suspect the 35-47 trucks did too as the cab was the same as the pickup.
