Jim: what sort of nuts do you recommend? Why not use castelated nuts?

Hello.
I`m building a G28T (german model B engine with full oil pressuring)
The spec is 0.30 over, 1.7 intake valves, ported intake, lightened flywheel, winfield aluminium head, 7:1 compression....

I guess the purpose of this construction must be to lead the oil towards the timing gear insted of the rear of the oil galery?
