It attracted thousands of spectators. If you notice, the video is edited. That was done to remove the crowds of spectators where you could make out faces since it would be impossible to get signed...

ONLY if everything is perfectly flat. My block (and every other I have seen) is not flat.



Even worse, you're trying to make it air tight. Prevents vacuum leaks.

When I discussed using the high temp RTV, I also showed why I do it. See the closeup shot of the engine block surface.

Torquing to 45 ft. lbs. when installing ends up...

They were removed in the 1950's for some reason. I have a set, though not original to that car, so I could always put them on for judging. But the car is just being preserved as it has been handed...

Valid point. By the way, a few years ago, I posted a portion of a video I shot while riding in Marco's roadster. That car is unreal.
