Henry said they would all go 65 mph and if everything is in perfect shape and spark advanced they generally will but not for hours on end.

With your 26% Mitchell 2000 rpm is just about 60 mph so...

When buying a water temperature gauge, look for as low a maximum temperature as possible, maybe 230*.

Look for a maximum needle swing, maybe 270*

I use a 160* thermostat from one of the Model A parts stores that is welded to a stainless steel tube. I drill out the two bypass holes to 1/4 " diameter...

Not the ideal safety measure, but when someone rides in my rumble seat, I tie the opening handle to the spare tire which is only inches apart when open.

I have always called that housing the bell housing which is bolted to the clutch or flywheel housing which has the mounting attachments to the frame.

Since there will be 5 cam bearings, it would be a shame not to use all 5. You might look into having a batch of billet blanks available for cam grinders.

Don't remember exact details but there was a change in the shift lever somewhere between 28/29 and 30/31. All reproshift levers are the same so...
