I suspect your coil is the problem, not the condenser. The secondary windings of the coil may be shorting out at temperature, then when the engine cools down it starts working again.

Make sure that the square head on the center bolt is correctly located inside the square hole in the frame section. Be careful with a rear spring attached to a rear axle assembly outside of the car...

I have the same problem with a set of Logo LED lights. One of the bulbs wants to blink on low beams. I switched them in the headlights and the blink went with it, so I am sure it is a defective LED....

My suggestion is to clean the connection where the battery ground cable attaches to the frame. It is out of sight and hard to access. It is the most neglected electrical connection on a Model A.

I think you are turning it in the wrong direction. Turn it clockwise (to the right) to close it, then turn it to the left slightly to open to whatever you want.
