If you were going to add an inline fuse to any electrical part on this car, 6 volt pos. ground would the fuse go inline on the pos. ground side, or the other side

Thank You!! That is what I suspected. Someone put a new exhaust system on the car and didn't take time to take the assembly apart AND REROUTE IT under the crossover pipe. I was having trouble...

The tie rod end itself is worn out. The shaft that sticks up wiggles freely in its casing. I am replacing the bolts in the sleeve because they are badly rusted.

The main part of the end could be moved side to side freely. It wiggled in the part holding it.

I removed the LF tie rod end today. Some side to side play when moving by hand.
Does anyone know if grade 8 bolts were used to secure the adjusting sleeve on the tie rods???

I have to change out the two tie rod ends on my car. Was cleaning up while putting on new brakes and I found side to side movement on both sides.

54 Mercury parking brake question

Can anyone advise if its possible to lubricate the parking brake cables toward the rear of the car?? I have the right rear moving, but I'm a bit worried it will freeze up.

For vehicles that have a 6 volt pos ground system, are any fuses in the vehicles electrical system fused on the positive ground side wiring or on the negative side?? I'm thinking on the neg side.

Outside rear view mirror question

On 1954 Mercuries, did the dealerships install the outside mirrors?? Or were they installed in the factory??
I have seen so many photos 54, 55, and 56 Mercuries that have no outside mirrors at all.

I received the correct oil pipe seal in the mail today. Located it on EBAY. Going to send a photo the the manager of Rubber the right way for his reference.
