Re: Garage lights

That type would have to fall into the "cheap" category. May be producing PSW but with unreliable frequency.... yuck!

Re: Garage lights

The LED bulbs that are intended to replace an equivalent incandescent all have electronics in the base to do that conversion.

Re: Garage lights

Be careful here!

LED bulbs are made to simply replace an existing fluorescent with no rewiring needed, and others are made which REQUIRE rewiring. The two kinds are NOT interchangeable AFAIK.

Re: Garage lights

If a generator is cheap, in all likelihood it has a "modified sine wave" inverter, and a LOT of electronics have trouble with that. LED products are a significant example. There have been many RV...

Re: U-haul open trailer

You can always use the corrugated plastic they make roadside signs from.

TOB[/QUOTE]

Called "Coroplast", available at any local sign shop, Amazon, even Home Depot lists it.

Re: U-haul open trailer

I towed my Tudor on a U-Haul car carrier from Denver to East Texas when I bought it. Taped cardboard onto the radiator and front glass parts. Towed with an F150 pickup. Took a rock to the windshield...

Re: 1930 Sport coupe with hydraulic brakes

Gasket? It looks a lot like the inner race of the inner wheel bearing.

Re: What kind of glue for running board mat?

I am incredulous at all of the information and procedures and warnings and .... when the self-sticking mat from the Model A vendors is essentially fool-proof!

Re: What kind of glue for running board mat?

The vendors sell a mat that is pre-glued, that's what I used. See

Re: 6 volt horn in 12 volt vehicle

Hate to disagree with Tom Endy, but the resistors that the vendors sell for this purpose work just fine. They are completely contained in the horn "can" so they do not affect the Model A "look". (Of...

Re: Locating dimple on timing gear

+1!!!!

Sharpening the end of the timing pin a bit helps as well if you can't get to the dimple to drill it larger.

Re: Locating dimple on timing gear

How would this be possible? The cam has two pins that align the cam gear. They are NOT symmetrical with the cam mount and the cam gear will only fit over them in the correct orientation. (I suppose...

Re: What's wrong in this picture?

Dippers on the rod caps are supposed to face the cam side of the engine. They appear to be backwards.

Re: Battery Cutoff Switch in 29 Model A

It should be in the ground cable irregardless of whether it's positive or negative ground.

Re: New Battery shut off switch, now ammeter is strange

You may not be the ONLY person out there with "dual leads", but I have never heard of that before! Most run a ground lead from the transmission to the frame and then the normal frame-to-battery lead...
