Maybe the ethanol/gasoline formulations are different across the country.....E10 fuel in my area corrodes aluminum and pot metal parts (carburetors) and creates havoc with "old" rubber formulations. ...

9 is the number of teeth on the pinion gear, 34 is the number of teeth on the ring gear. Divide 9 into 34 to get your rear axle ratio: 3.78 nominal (3.777777777 actual)

I use anti-seize compound for brass fittings into aluminum. Been doing that for 60 years without issues. If the fitting is a gauge sender, the Teflon tape might insulate it and it may not function....

The accuracy of the 80 year old technology in that gauge is significantly less than the measurable difference in the float levels with those specific liquids.

The Pertronix techs used to say to not use their Ignitor with a generator.....to much "noise" from the brushes and voltage spikes would blow it out.....maybe they made some electronics changes?......

I guess your experience with these conflicts with mine (and others) .......the Drake tank fit in perfectly with the body NOT REMOVED. A very easy, quick replacement.

The wiring and fuse need to be matched for 6 volts (heavier gage)....the bulbs take 2X the anps as 12 volt bulbs.
