The cam is the culprit, the load a matic distributor is following it. Now you cam go back to a stock cam or a distributor that follows the engine.

Never use a generator or mechanical fam. Always use an Alternator and electric fan Last forever, works great.

I don't see what lighter valves and aluminum flywheels have to do with compression. This isn't necessart in a "street engine" especilly a light flywheel.
