Engine shut down.

I was on a tour and at the first stop it was running fine. When I started up it ran about a half block and just shout down like I turned the key off. I retarded the spark and it started right up....

Rebuilt Alternators

I bought a rebuilt 6 volt positive alternator from some one a while ago, I think he is Oklahoma, I need another one. Does anyone know him?

One thing to check is how far past the hole in the rim does the bolt extend. Because of wear on the rim hole it is possible that you are torqueing the bolt to the hub and not getting the wheel tight....

I timed my Model A by the book and I did not get that great Model A exaust sound, So I retarded the timing about 5% and it sounds great. But can that hurt the babbit firing 5% early from TDC. Thanks...
