When I converted my '36 to hydraulics, I used a '39 front axle and backing plates, but had to reuse my '36 spindles, otherwise the tires would have stuck out too far.

Yes, this one has definitely been in the trees for a few years. Here it is last winter. With leaves on the trees, it cannot even be seen from the street in the summer.

Did you have to remove the exhaust manifolds to remove your '36 steering box and install the '37 box? I understand that one can either drill additional holes in the '36 mounting plate or just install...

Thanks, I appreciate that. My friend will need a new gas tank anyway, some previous owner took it out and it got lost many years ago, so he will need the tank and sending unit.

My '36 only had the spring clips holding the trim to the grill. Some previous owner must have put the screw with a big head in the chrome trim then put the nut on it. Can you get to the nut? It looks...

Are you talking about the Rumble Seat hinge Bump Stop? If so, Drake has them and they fit right in the existing holes.
