By the way guys i have a bag of new old stock retaining clips ...let me know if ya need one ......
Other wise use a cent punch to peen the rotor shaft then install the rotor ......???????????:d

A flathead requires a "balanced" ignition system . Correct distributor , point, condensor cap rotor and ignition cables .
One wrong part and the system will fail . ( usually a incorrect ignition...

That would be a Mallory kit allows the use of 60s ford contacts ( available thru local napa store in quality echlin contacts ) the very best out there . Coupled with a 11A internal cam and advance...

Build the one on the left , napa contacts cs47 are great contact sets. clean lube and adjust would be a 11A or a #68 ......

While i dont disagree with Terry Ohio , we need to be carefull how its stated . Yes the firing order doesnt change BUT the sequence :: ie comp vs ex sure does .
If you use the factory wiring...

Ok back to it , planning on finishing up this collins unit today .....

check primary both terminals on machine .......good

install coil and wire each to fire secondary voltage !!!!!
