Door stay diagram for 53 Courier
Does any one have a diagram for the door stay on the rear door of a Courier?
I believe the one on mine is missing some parts.

Did you install a dual master cylinder when the disc were installed. If not the 10 psi residual valve that is built in to the stock master cylinder keeps enough pressure to cause the discs to drag.

The biggest difference is the bed width. ‘40/41 are 46” wide as apposed to F1 @ 48”. You can lay a 4x8’ sheet of plywood in a F1 but not in A ‘40/41.

On the leaning issue. Make sure the center bolt is seated in the hole in the cross member and both U bolts are tight.

How did a master cylinder leak destroy the carpet? The stock placement for it is under the floor. BTW the stock floor covering is a rubber mat.

This one has 2 or 3 leaves removed. I had to make spacer leaves so the U bolts would clamp the spring to the crossmember. The spacers are under the spring. Otherwise the truck would hold the lean...
