Look into the Stipe modern front seal. It uses an aluminum housing to hold the shape.

If you're staying with the 4 cylinder, the F100 box is best. If you are going to a V8 flathead, then the F1 box works better for exhaust clearance.

As far as I know, Tod Buttermore is the only one making cast iron 7:1 heads. He has a few different ones. Stock looking, Winfield and Thomas.

The original stud boss height is 2-7/32". That does not include the head gasket thickness.

According to Vince Falter. A diaphragm clutch from a 83-88 Thunderbird or 84-86 Mustang SVO 2.3L Turbo is 9" and the same bolt pattern as the V8 pressure plate.

The 1-5/16" dimension in Les book is to the shoulder of the stud, which I believe is 3/8" diameter. 1.499 minus half of 3/8 (3/16 or .1875") is 1.3115", which is .001" less than 1-5/16".

What is the toe-in set at? Incorrect Toe (especially toe-out) can cause wandering.

1967 - I inherited my A from my dad he was born in 1941 and had his first A when he was 15. We lost him two years ago, and that's when I got into the hobby. I've built many Model A's as hot...

The King Pins can't be swapped side for side. If you did, the brake levers would push instead of pull.
