Mike, DavidG, Alan, thanks for your input. I have purchased the plugs and they will be used in a 1942 29A 100hp Commercial.

Mike, I didn't intend for my response to Alan to be in any way negative, just didn't understand the response. With all questions I have ever ask on the Ford Barn Alan has been very informative....

Alan I am not sure I understand. The Ford parts manuals that I have list the H9 comm plugs for all the Commercials 1938 thru 1947, 90 and 100 hp with Ford part number listed as 01T 12405.

As has been indicated there should be a slot in the bottom which directs the oil flow toward the bottom of the oil pan.

Mac and DD since you pointed me in the right direction, the 11 inch clutch seems to be only used for the 4 speed and not the 3 speed, is this correct in your opinion?

In Drakes catalog it is called a Wheel Wizard and part number is TL110. If you go to there online catalog they even have a video on how it works.

I have the same problem on my 1942 Commercial and purchased a tool from Bob Drake that is made for this and works great. It should be in there catalog.

Charlie, in my opinion, using the test lamp like you are is a good way to test. I use a digital meter with an audible tone that way I don't even have to look at the meter I just listen for the tone.

hotrod, I think scooder is correct that you can use either style of door glass. The outside measurement is the same on the windows with or without the metal band.
