Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck

Sugarmaker, if that lower channel contributes in any way to the location of the glass front to rear, be sure and get a measurement so that it can be replaced in its current location.

Re: 1942-48 Ford Radiator Support Info?

Hi 31,

My '48 Ford has GM drivetrain as well. I mounted my aluminum radiator without the U-shaped frame and spring arrangement. I fabricated an angle-iron frame to attach to the side brackets. ...

Re: Junkyard electric fan recommendations '49 F-47

Kilo, I think the one i'm using is a single speed but looks very similar to the one shown.
I'm not sure if it was a pusher or puller, but I'm using it as a pusher and running it full time with no...

Re: Junkyard electric fan recommendations '49 F-47

I used a fan from a Jeep Liberty '04 3.7 engine in my '48 Super Deluxe. It measures about 21" x 21" and is a front mounted pusher fan. 12 v of course.

Re: curved plywood panels

Wow, I figured GB would know a good way to do this. I remember laminating a rail into a curve when I was in college making a project stool which was to be mass produced. We made about 10-12 of...

Re: 81A-7222 shifter housing detent balls and springs

You can get bearing balls at any bearing house. You may need to ask for metric size. 7/16" would be about 5 mm.

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck

Chris, I'm still loving your truck as well as your posts. Cooper driving your 32 reminds me of my grand daughter Mabel (9 yrs old) driving my "big" tractor which is a 5000 Ford with loader and 7 ft...

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck

Chris,

My '48 Super Deluxe is flat black enamel. I sometimes wipe it down with diesel fuel to give it a little gloss. It lasts a couple of weeks and I think it looks better, but it catches...

Re: Ford V8 Distributor 68A

I fully agree that the phenolic caps swell. I was helping a friend with a '54 International B tractor, who could not get it to run consistently and had been fooling with it for months. I soon...

You can use #14 or #16 Gauge wire. A jumper cable with alligator clips would be great if small enough to connect at the coil.
