Re: Do not do business with this person

Just the way it goes. More than once I have boxed things up and something happened. I did have a Model T part all ready to go, but it sold later and, so it was already boxed.

The biggest issue...

Re: Best way to sell parts

Trains, boats and planes: EBay, Facebook, Craigslist, Fordbarn, club sites. I have found that car parts do well on eBay.

Re: video of recovery of AA truck

Most of these videos are too long, but it's great they are out there. Matt and his crew do some great rescues. I ran into him at Hershey this year. Nice to see the younger fellows enthused about...

Re: No Shipping

I guess people don't want to be bothered and don't really want to sell things. I am happy to ship to a buyer and do it all the time. It's a nuisance and the costs have become so high that it's...

Re: Craftsman torque wrench, great deal at Lowe's

I was in Lowe's yesterday to get something else, but I bought a 250 ft. lb. torque wrench on line a few weeks ago. That's the way it works sometimes.

Re: Edsel Ford

Maybe the general public has forgotten Edsel, but early Ford enthusiasts have not. A remarkable person in his own right. The book is pricey. I'd like to read it.

Re: Busted Axle

This has been mentioned before, but now's a good time to mention the drum retainers sold by Vern Tardel https://www.verntardel.com/store/p335/Ford_Drum_Brake_Retainers.html. Speedway has them for...

Re: Another Led tail light question

Here is a comparison of a white LED with a red LED on the back of my recently acquired 51 Ford. The left side is the new white LED and the right is the red LED that was in the car when a bought it. ...

Re: Hemmings MOdel A Calendar

Maybe they made a dumb decision, but maybe they weren't selling enough of them? As a rational person, that is what I think. Maybe they aren't rational.

I always bought their Abandoned Vehicle...

Re: Accepting cash for car sale

This is only part of your question but any bank transaction over $10,000 is reported to the IRS.

I think you were right to be nervous about taking $87,500 in cash from someone you don't know at...

Re: Consensus of opinion

I have alternators on both of my A's. I went with a Powergen for my 1930 because I hate the way the modern alternators look on a Model A. Expensive, but it's been a great unit. I have halogen...

Re: Roadster or Coupe?

Well, you could buy two, depending upon your budget. I first bought a Town Sedan and love it. Then I bought a roadster. I probably like it more than the sedan, but for touring a sedan can't be...

Re: Theft Prevention Ideas??

I have enough of a time remembering that first gear isn't up to the left. More than once I have realized I have put it in reverse at a stop light. All my moderns are manual trans, too. LOL.

Re: Disc Brakes V Bendix Brakes-Which performs best??

Make sure they are adjusted properly, too.

I know others have switched to discs in the front. I am sure someone will chime in later.

Re: Ford Motor Co during the war.

I assume that some of these were Ford designed and some were designed by others and built by Ford. Still a remarkable achievement and worth remembering and commemorating.
