Motors were never stamped with vin on the deck. ya maybe someone stamped them. Not hard to get stamps. Most dealers had them.

Great answer... I can weld a Mercedes, rolls, or s10 to a 41 ford. Both might be free to me but doesn't mean when I'm done it's worth anything. Fun yes. and sometime worth it too

I think you are thinking of Harry Bennett the union buster. Maybe what your thinking? The 5$ dollar day was 1914. Harry didn't start till the 20's an was fired in the 40s
