Re: 32 Model Y in France

That is an early one, not as early as the one in the ad. Later cars had a longer grille with the crank hole going through rather than below it. Nice cabriolet body, don't think it's factory body.

Re: 35 cabriolet rumble lid to trunk

It is a pia to get luggage out of the rumble seat, I just climb in there and hand it out, but I don't understand why turning the lid round would help. Presumably the spare goes somewhere else, but...

Re: International Model A Ford Day

I wrestled with fitting repro front quarter panels on my RPU. Not as much fun as a picnic.

Re: 10 spline pinion 34 v 35 difference?

Deuce lover has just rained on my parade. The pinion is 33-34 style. The gent I got it from did come back to me and say it might not be right but he thought he could source the correct item, so I'll...

Re: Fuel Valve Leak Around Threads

I just bought a 'non-setting heavy duty paste with PTFE' which says it is good for taper pipe threads and petrol ( that's gasoline to you). Slic-tite, made by La-Co of Elk Grove IL. It will be...

Re: Lights mounted on fenders?

That's the sort that John from Suffolk mentioned, fitted usually on the B door pillar right hand side purely as a parking light. (Do you use that nomenclature in the US? A pillar is the one by the...

Re: Bosch blue coil in a v8 ??

Pertronix told me not to swap over my 1.5ohm coil into my VW cos that needs a 3ohm and it would fry the module. So the rating matters, take Pertronix advice.

Re: for those with sharp eyes ID these vehicles.

35 tail light stands. My RHD coupe has the filler in the LH stand and 2 rumble seat steps on the LH fender. Both stands are equal length.

Hood hinges - tube or rod?

My local vendor stocks a set of stainless tubes for the hood hinges. For the same price I could buy solid stainless rod. Which is better?

Re: Switched Carbs: choke rod doesn't line up

Model A & Model B carbs are different and won't line up unless you use the correct manifold.

Re: Question about the ignition coil

I have a similar problem. How do I check if it's condenser or coil? Should I rig up a distributor on the bench and let it sit with points shut to warm the coil?

Re: Classic condenser failure?

I did nothing, it worked next morning when it had cooled down. I have a replacement coil & condenser bought from one of the vendors - it is marked HAI, does that mean it's a Skip coil?

Classic condenser failure?

Did a 60 mile run visiting family Saturday. Cruising up the main road at around 50mph, I sensed a slights misfire. Further on I went to pass a tractor and it was slow to pick up. Long story short, it...
