WHN 2X

I'll add to WHN, with the ignition key off, step on the starter for 10 - 15 seconds. Listen carefully as the engine sound will change as the oil from the pan is pumped up to bearings etc.....

Can he use 90 w while living in Alaska..... if you shift carefully and don't mind possible additional leakage...

I believe you will find the left side cowl vent was eliminated from production some time late August - early September 1928. (Late Service Letters)

Interesting at the same time the inner belt rail...

Robert,

The clutch release arm is longer on a '28 multi-disc transmission giving better leverage than later style Model A. That & a bowl of 'Wheaties' in the AM and you'll be pulling thru them...

Robert,

I might have suggested that over rated 250 gear lube might be the problem, but in 'warm' Texas ??

My '28 with it's multi-disc clutch is not forgiving about missing shift points unlike...

More likely Grandpa lost the correct paper work, heirs are clueless other than the property is sold & the barn has to cleared...

Get Out & Under.....Check to see the service Brake Cross Shaft has full clear rotation not hitting the tranny, u-joint area.

I friend of mine had a set made at a local auto top shop for about 1/2 of what he was quoted from L&B. If you have old curtains for patterns, better still.

Hardest piece will be an identical flywheel (two types, one for the Abel starter and second post Oct.'28 Bendix style) that has the least...

Before starting, remove the mats & floor boards, you will find a inspection plate with two bolts in front of the shifter. Remove, take a picture of the clutch & post, we then can tell you...
