Perhaps see if the dealer has a Facebook page. Posting there might get their attention.

Re: What are some of the counter intuitive things you have learned about a Model A?

Engines were stamped when they passed testing. The number on the engine was stamped on the frame when the engine was installed.

Read Steve Pluckers study on this process....

Re: Headlight Ground

One other problem area is the rubber piece many use between the headlight bar and the fender. They didn’t have them when the car was new. Less metal to metal contact for the ground path.

Re: Need Help in Identifying Location of Short

You said this was a rebuilt original ignition switch, yes? If so, not to be rude, but are you aware that it needs to be pushed in to be off?

Re: Soldering

And do it in a well-ventilated area. Fumes are bad.

Re: No Power to Starter

I’m still new to the T, so maybe this is nothing...

I know the T is normally a negative-ground system, while the A is normally a positive-ground system. Is the T like the A in that hooking up a...

Re: Tire Pressure

Most of the time, that number is Max pressure, and it should indicate if that is the case. Max is what the tire can handle, and shouldn’t be assumed to be correct for the vehicle it is currently...

Re: Ways to Start With Obstructed Hand Crank

Carry a pull-start rope from a lawn mower. Wrap it around the crank pulley and give it a strong yank!

Re: Data plate rivet holes don't line up

Where did you buy the I’ll-fitting plate?

No matter who the vendor is, I’d suggest calling and ask if one part is better than another. Places like Berts, Brattons, Snyder’s, etc will give you...

Re: Car won't start

Not saying this is an/the issue, but if it still has the original pop-out ignition switch, just “turning it off” is not enough. It must be pushed in to disconnect the ignition. Not doing so can ruin...

Re: Full advance from 28/29

Is the slot in the distributor the correct size? I seem to recall a Ford Service Bulletin that said some had been modified by owners or mechanics to have a larger opening. Though I would think that...

Re: Trunk floor pan

I thought they used the same floor, at least that is what I understand from the vendor catalogs. Part of the reason for the riser platform is to clear the spring.

I'm interested to hear what more...

Re: head light bucket - reflectors

If I may ask - what were the original reflectors made out of, the base material, not the reflective coating?

I took one of my headlights apart, and the reflector feels like it is plastic. In...

Re: Marco;s FRONT Spring Chart...

There are two spring charts in the service bulletins, but I don't think they answer your questions.

Re: Front and Rear Spring Restoration

The service bulletins clearly talk about proper spring lubrication when discussing the spring covers. Whether the springs were lubed during assembly is another question.

Re: GAV Question

No.

It adjusts the mixture, does not shutoff fuel.
