Hey gang...

I'll see if I can find a picture, but Flathead Jack used to have these cast aluminum lower radiator hoses that I think allowed you to hook up a late flathead to a stock '32 radiator....

Timing marks look good. Crank pulley looks good.

Yeah, I don't know about the timing being off and running still. I think I managed to do that as a kid (on a OHV engine) but it ran like poop. ...

How long has this engine been together and running? Is there a chance the timing gears are not lined up correctly, but the timing has been moved enough to compensate to make it run?

Thanks DavidG... that is also good information to know! I bought some stainless aftermarket ones, but have since misplaced them. I do recall checking them quickly to find that they were a tad long....

Charlie, I didn't know that, but did find that out with the anti-chatter rods! My car was originally a V8 car.

Like others have said, stock distributor is a "no go" with multi-carbs. It doesn't receive the correct vacuum signal to function properly. Bubba's, Pertronix or maybe find a Mallory dual point...
