The throttle shaft and base are no doubt worn...very common with Ford 94
style carbs. The solution is fitting an oversize throttle shaft very routine.

I'll refer to the Daytona power valves...just recently available...no machining to the carb is required. This PV replicates within reason the original Ford/Holley...The only drawback...

If it is a Drake tank and is like my Drake tank it is the tank, it's too wide....the weld 'lip' won't pass thru the frame. I put my tank in from the top before installing the bed...

To make the adjuster substantial ( it is as you describe, a threaded device ) I
mill the factory slot in the rotor plate out and weld or braze a 1/4 dia steel slug in the milled...

Shaking things out my fix was to mill the required eyelet holss in the appropriate locations to route #5 and #6. Both conduits drop down between the water pump/s and distributor...

I would appreciate a photo or verbal description of how the driver side spark
wires are routed. The conduit does not seem to have an eyelet adjacent
to #5 and #6 and #7 are on top of each other....

I installed a '49 Merc in my '32 pickup...I'm on the road finally. I used the '32 front mounts from DRAKE and the stamped steel adapter bell housing to mount a '39 type trans....

Do not shine them up, .03' s are where it's at plus os rod dia make these quite valuable.
Unless the elements got to them somehow I'd price at $50 per box. I'm an 8BA guy but I'm tempted....true...
